Central Branch Join Mass Events Across The East Riding and Hull Against the NHS Health and Social Care Bill

This Saturday will see campaigners take to the streets across the East Riding and Hull in a last ditch effort to urge the Lib Dems to block the hated NHS and Social Care Bill.

Campaigners and professional bodies such as the BMA and the Royal College of GPs say that government proposals will lead to the privatisation of the Health Service and the creation of a two tier organisation.

Central Branch members will be out on Saturday morning at Manor Road shops on Kingston Road where we will be joining Comrades from Derringham labour Party.
George McManus Chair of Beverley and Holderness CLP has organised an event at Toll Gavel in Beverley.
Labour will be asking  the public to sign a petition to withdraw the Bill.  In Beverley up to1000 sample letters will be distributed in an effort to get patients to persuade their local GPs to exert pressure on decision makers.

Speaking today,Cllr Josh Newlove said,  ’We would urge the
public to support us.  It’s crucial we all fight to save the NHS.  The government must drop this Bill.   We must act now before it’s too late.’
