Save Our NHS Rally Sat July 21st Mid Day Victoria Sq, Hull

Dear NHS Supporter,

Our local NHS is facing clear and present danger. Our local media reports that 300 beds are to be axed to save money.
Prof. John Cleland (Head of Cardiac Services) said this about the butchery of heart care, “The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (Nice) thinks that’s dangerous and I would endorse that.”
This what local neurologists said in an open letter; “Due the closure of the neurology ward at Hull Royal, there are no specialist neurology beds in the trust. We have voiced our concerns on numerous occasions at managerial meetings and our opinions and concerns have been disregarded and a dictatorial approach has been taken, with new changes to our service implemented against our advice.”

It is imperative that action is taken. Therefore it is our intention to organise a rally for Sat 21st July in Hull, Victoria Square at Mid day

The purpose of the rally will be to high light to the public how much of a disaster the Trusts actions will bring to our community, and to petition the public to pile pressure on those who can reverse the decision.

We have a raft of speakers and our three local Labour MP’s have been invited, but we want this campaign to be about local activists taking to the streets and taking action.

We can sit in a meeting making speeches to the converted, or we can get out there and do what we do best; campaigning.

Please circulate this email to as many people as we can to make a real difference in our community.

If you have been, thank you for reading this..
