PUBLIC MEETING

“WHAT NOW FOR LOCAL
GOVERNMENT?”

Speakers include Labour MP John McDonnell, UNISON NEC Member Jon Rogers, Hull City and E. Riding Councillors plus Workers and Residents.

Date: Friday 28th February 6.30 for 7PM

Location: Royal Station Hotel, Edwardian Suite, Hull City Centre. HU1 3UF

This meeting has been called because of the Tory led Government of millionaires declaring class war on our communities up and down the country. Our region stands to lose £1/4 billion in central Government funding when savage cuts to both local authorities, (£228 per head in Hull in Council funding compared to the national average of £61) the NHS, benefit cuts, and tax rises such as hiking VAT from 15% under Labour, to an eye watering 20% under the Lib Dem backed Coalition are taken into account.
